GC1 High Bulk Folding Box Board
High-bulk GC1 separated from regular bulk for clearer buyer selection and grade-specific TDS.Ranges describe documented grades, not every intermediate weight or stock availability. Caliper depends on grammage and grade; confirm the selected TDS, physical sample and order specification.
Product overview
What is GC1 High Bulk Folding Box Board?
High Bulk GC1 provides greater sheet thickness and body at a controlled basis weight. It is selected when carton feel and stiffness are priorities, or when buyers want to explore lightweighting without simply increasing GSM.
The StarBlanc High Bulk C1S Ivory Board TDS covers 195–345 gsm and documents Natural White and High White brightness options. Choose the grade through caliper, stiffness, printing and the finished carton structure.
Material direction
Built around the finished structure.
Select the board by thickness, construction, stiffness and the operations it must pass through.Material highlights
- High caliper-to-weight efficiency for a more substantial carton feel at controlled grammage.
- Natural White and High White brightness directions documented in the TDS.
- High stiffness values by grade support premium cartons and lightweighting programs.
- Coated print face with controlled gloss, smoothness and PPS for image-rich packaging.
- Clear separation from regular-bulk GC1 helps buyers compare material yield and finished box body.
Typical applications
- Premium folding cartons requiring higher bulk/stiffness efficiency
Practical questions
Before you specify.
Why choose High Bulk instead of Regular Bulk GC1?
High Bulk is used when the buyer wants more caliper and stiffness at a controlled basis weight.
What grammage is documented?
195–345 gsm.
Does the TDS support more than one brightness direction?
Yes. Natural White 80.0±3.0% and High White 90.0±3.0% are documented for top and back.
Is High Bulk the same as GC2?
No. GC1 High Bulk and GC2 are separate grades, each with its own technical data.
