Product overview
What is Tracing Paper?
Tracing Paper allows underlying lines, colours and printed elements to remain visible through the sheet while retaining the tactile and converting behaviour of paper. Lower GSM grades provide higher transparency for overlays and technical work; heavier grades provide more body for creative printing, inserts and presentation applications.
The current YOUNGSUN TDS documents transparency decreasing gradually as GSM rises, while tear resistance increases substantially. Buyers should therefore select tracing paper by the balance of transparency, body and strength required for the finished project.
Material direction
Specify the sheet through the printed result.
Balance whiteness, opacity, surface and runnability against the printing and finishing route.Material highlights
- Select lower GSM when higher transparency is the priority.
- Select medium and heavy grades when body, handling strength or premium presentation matter more than maximum transparency.
- Confirm printing method and finishing on a physical sample for creative print and packaging applications.
- For technical drawing and reproduction, surface smoothness and dimensional stability should be evaluated together with transparency.
Typical applications
- Technical drawing
- tags
- design overlays
- electronics/food packaging
- greeting inserts
