Should I specify board by thickness or grammage?
For rigid boxes and covers, start with thickness and finished construction. For printing paper and folding cartons, start with grammage, then compare caliper, stiffness, opacity and the converting requirements. The TDS for the selected grade gives the relevant values.
Compare Grey Board specifications →How do I choose between uncoated and coated printing paper?
Woodfree Offset Paper provides an uncoated printing and writing surface. C2S Art Paper has coating on both sides for image-led print. Choose the finish and grammage for your press, ink coverage, binding and desired paper feel, then evaluate a sample.
Compare printing papers →What should I include in a quotation request?
Send the product or application, grammage or thickness, dimensions, sheet or reel format, quantity and destination. Include printing, coating, cutting or packing requirements and a sample reference where available. Availability and delivery terms are confirmed for the quoted order.
Send your specification →Can I select colours and textures from the website alone?
Use the images and swatch PDFs to shortlist colours and textures. Screen and printed colours are references; confirm the colour code and physical sample, including any planned foil, embossing or printing, before ordering.
Find colour and texture references →Which documents should I review before buying?
Start with the grade-specific TDS and an approved physical sample. A safety data sheet describes handling and composition and does not replace a performance specification. Test reports cover their stated samples; certification claims must match the applicable product and order documents.
Review available documents →How do I specify paper for food or oven use?
State the food type, contact time, temperature, barrier or release requirement and destination market. For coated paper, specify base-paper grammage and coat weight per side separately. Confirm the final construction and its supporting documents; a base-paper TDS alone does not establish suitability for the finished pack.
